Art of Dying

Art of Dying, AOD, es una banda de rock originaria de Vancouver (Canadá).

La banda se formó en el año 2005, cuando Jonny Hetherington (cantante) y Greg Bradley (guitarra), anteriormente en la banda Sunlikestar, se metieron en el estudio junto con el productor Darryl Rhompf (Trapt, Chevelle). Además de estos músicos, que constituyen el núcleo de la banda, en 2008 la formación incluye a Tavis Stanley (guitarra) y Cale Gontier (bajo), de la legendaria banda canadiense Thornley, y Jeff Brown (batería).

Art Of Dying han estado de gira por el Reino Unido, Canada y los Estados Unidos. Han actuado junto a otros artistas como Tool, Deftones, My Chemical Romance, Staind, Our Lady Peace, Hinder, Papa Roach y AFI. Art Of Dying fue el principal telonero de Seether en su gira del 2006 en el Reino Unido y de Saliva en su gira canadiense del 2008. También lo fueron en la gira norteamericana de Disturbed en 2008.

Su album de debut, titulado como la banda, fue publicado en el Reino Unido el 9 de Octubre de 2006.

Karnivool

Karnivool se formó en 1998. Tocan por la zona de Perth, graban su primer EP homónimo en 1999. En 2000 cambian el lineup, reclutando una nueva sección rítmica, Jon Stockman y Ray Hawking. Con esta formación graban en 2001 el EP “Persona” y los conciertos son cada vez más frecuentes, pero siempre cerca de la zona de residencia, son un grupo que se mueve en cortas distancias casi local.

Between the Trees se formó en Orlando, Florida a principios del año 2005. El 19 de Septiembre de 2006 realizaron su primer album «The Story and the Song», bajo la productora independiente Bonded Records.

El grupo ha estado envuelto con «To Write Love on Her Arms», una organizacion que presta apoyo a personas con comportamientos depresivos, suicidas o adicctos.
Dos canciones de su primer album hacen referencia a dicha organizacion y a los problemas que espera resolver.

30 Seconds to Mars fueron fundados en 1998 por Jared Leto (guitarra y voz) y su hermano Shannon (batería), como un pequeño proyecto familiar. Más tarde Matt Wachter se unió a la banda como bajista. Aunque Jared Leto es un conocido actor de Hollywood, prefiere no usar esa información para promocionar la banda, de hecho, el grupo rechaza tocar en lugares en donde se utilice su nombre como actor para promocionar el show.

Jimmy Eat World

Jimmy Eat World es una banda estadounidense de rock alternativo formada en 1994 en Mesa, Arizona.

Jimmy Eat World lo formaron en sus inicios Jim Adkins, Zach Lind (amigos desde la guardería) Tom Linton y Mitch Porter. El nombre de la banda no hace referencia a Jim Adkins, sino a uno de los hermanos de Tom Linton. Éste y sus hermanos menores, Jimmy y Ed, estaban siempre peleándose cuando eran pequeños. Jimmy, que era alto y fuerte, siempre solía ganar. Su hermano Ed dibujó a Jimmy comiéndose el mundo en referencia a un capítulo de la serie de dibujos animados Tiny Toon.

Taproot

Taproot es un grupo de nu metal/post-grunge, procedentes de los Estados Unidos. La banda se formó en 1997 en Ann Arbor, Michigan, y se ha ganado un nombre en la escena de la música nu metal al ir de gira con bandas como Linkin Park y KoЯn.

En 1998, enviaron su demo al cantante de Limp Bizkit, Fred Durst. Impresionado por el material les ofreció un contrato discográfico con Interscope Records (la discográfica de Limp Bizkit en aquella época). Esta oferta no se concretó y Taproot continuó con la búsqueda de discográfica hasta que firmaron un suculento contrato con Atlantic Records.

Incubus

Incubus se forma en un garaje de Calabasas, California en Enero de 1991. Empezaron tocando en pequeños clubes y fiestas, para saltar a telonear a todo un elenco de bandas consagradas como Primus

En el año 1990 José Pasillas (Percusión) conoce a Mike Einzinger (Guitarrista) quien pasaba la mayor parte de su tiempo tocando guitarra y a Alex Katunick (Bajo) quien había participado en una banda de Jazz de la cual lo expulsan por no saber leer partituras. Los tres deciden juntarse a tocar por diversión covers de Megadeth y Metallica, los que no son del agrado de José.

Butch Vig, productor de discos tan influyentes como Nevermind de Nirvana y Siamese Dream de Smashing Pumpkins decidió que quería formar un grupo, de modo que pidió a sus compañeros productores Marker y Erikson que se unieran a él. Después de que el grupo viera a Shirley Manson en MTV (Shirley participó en otros proyectos como Goodbye, Mr. MacKenzie y Angelfish), le pidieron que se uniera al grupo. Papa Roach

Papa Roach es una banda estadounidense de nu-metal/rapcore, creada a principios de los 90s y que se dio a conocer internacionalmente en el año 2000 con su álbum Infest.

Originarios de Vacaville, en el norte de California, la banda se formó en 1993 por los amigos de secundaria Jacoby Shaddix cantando (Coby Dick), Dave Bucker (batería) y Will James (bajos). Jerry Horton (guitarra) se unió poco después. El cuarteto se nombró en honor al abuelo de Shaddix y adoptó la cucaracha en símbolo de durabilidad y longevidad.
